SL-1002 Injection Treatment for People with Knee Pain and Osteoarthritis (OA)

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a disease that causes joint pain. This can occur in the knee. The Corticosteroid dexamethasone injection is used now to help people with OA knee pain. The human amniotic fluid epidural injection is a new way to treat this pain. Research is needed to learn the safety and effectiveness of the new injection and see which injection is better at improving symptoms. The information we learn will aid future patients.

Age: Over 18 years old

Inclusion Criteria
- 35 years and older
- Knee pain from Osteoarthritis more than 6 months before participating
- Continued pain after having at least 3 months with other therapy
- A person who can become pregnant must use specific birth control
- Attend in-person at the University of Utah
Exclusion Criteria
- Possible inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout, pseudo-gout
- Diagnosis of fibromyalgia
- Prior or planned leg amputation
- Received a total knee replacement
- Planning pregnancy, pregnant, or breastfeeding
