A study to better predict disease progression of patients diagnosed with chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP)

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how to predict disease progression of patients who have been diagnosed with chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (CHP), which is a form of lung disease. The study will evaluate high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) chest scans, pulmonary function tests (PFT), six-minute walk tests (6MWT) and questionnaires. The study will also explore blood samples to assess the progression of your condition and your response to therapy. The study will take 24 Months to complete and will require 5 visits to University of Utah Health.

Inclusion Criteria
- Diagnosis of chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (CHP) by HRCT scan
- Aged 18-85 years old
Exclusion Criteria
- Known explanation for the interstitial lung disease (ILD), including but not limited to radiation, drug toxicity, sarcoidosis, pneumoconiosis
- Clinical diagnosis of any connective tissue disease, including but not limited to scleroderma, polymyositis/dermatomyositis and rheumatoid arthritis
- Listed or expected to receive a lung transplant within 4 months from start of study participation
- Pregnant women
